We love welcoming guests who need Alternate Living Expenses (ALE) accommodations during insurance-covered home repairs. Unlike short weekend stays, these longer-term bookings allow us to really look after you while you’re in transition — and we take pride in making that time as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

With Susie’s background as a licensed insurance adjuster, she understands the claims process inside and out. She has helped many guests communicate with their insurance companies to ensure they receive the proper claims coverage and funds to support their stay. That means you not only have a cozy place to live, but also a host who genuinely understands the situation you’re navigating.

Our homes are designed to feel like a true refuge — a safe, welcoming space to exhale in the middle of sometimes stressful repairs, renovations, or unexpected events. We believe that especially during challenging times, you deserve a place that brings a little light, joy, and ease.

My wife and I stayed at Susie’s beautiful Bluebonnet Farmhouse for several months while our home nearby was being repaired after major flooding. From the very beginning, Susie was more than just a wonderful host — her previous background as an insurance adjuster was invaluable. She explained how the claims process worked, helped to draft emails for us, and guided us in a way that saved both money and stress on our claim.

Thanks to her support, what could have been an overwhelming and confusing process was made so much easier. And on top of that, her home was warm, comfortable, and the perfect place to stay during such a challenging time.
